Meet The Judges: Spark Awards – Broadcasting
The 2021 Heels Down Spark Awards are officially open to creative individuals making their mark in the equestrian industry.
The Spark Awards is an international competition for inspiring individuals to recognize the creative talent brewing in the horse world. Hosted by Heels Down Media, the Spark Awards are open to equestrians, entrepreneurs, writers, graphic designers and more – basically anyone with a cool idea that touches the equestrian industry in some way.
The winners will be selected by a panel of expert judges (75%) and a public vote in the Heels Down Spark, our daily equestrian newsletter (25%). Apply by May 30. To get all the contest details, click here.
The broadcasting category is open to podcasters and video creators. Content must be/have been published at the time of submission. Online links to available content accepted as submissions.

Glenn the Geek founded the Horse Radio Network in July 2008. Starting with one show (The Stable Scoop Radio Show) and no listeners, since then the Horse Radio Network has now grown to numerous shows with tens of thousands of listeners from around the world. Glenn hosts several of the shows on the network including the Stable Scoop Radio Show, HORSES IN THE MORNING and the Driving Radio Show. The Horse Radio Network has produced over 11,000 episodes and hosted over 12,000 guests.
Caitlin Gooch is the founder of Saddle Up And Read, creator of the “Color & Learn Black Equestrian Coloring Book” and co-host of Young Black Equestrians the Podcast. She has 3 daughters, 7 horses, 3 dogs, 1 mule, 1 rabbit, and a wonderfully supportive husband. Caitlin was introduced to horses at an early age. Her father owns a horse farm in Wendell, NC which sparked her passion for horses. For 23 years she has ridden Western as well as bareback.
Ellie Woznica is a freelance book designer and horse trainer because she couldn’t choose which career to pursue and her mom said she wouldn’t make the decision for her. She’s also a host of the Heels Down Happy Hour podcast on the Horse Radio Network. She grew up showing the hunters and jumpers, but in university, she learned to ride western and fell in love with reining.
