What is “good hay”? We know it’s crucial to our horses’ nutrition and health, since forage makes up the majority of their diets. Aside from sending in a hay sample for hay analysis (which is recommended by most equine nutritionists), you can physically evaluate your horse’s hay to gain insight into what kind of nutrients your horses are receiving.
