The Best of 2018: The December Issue Is Here.

As 2018 comes to a close, let’s reminiscence on what an exciting – and controversial – year it’s been for the world of horse sport. From the FEI World Equestrian Games coming to the U.S. for the second time in its history to some of the most surprising, nail-biting finishes on the podium at the most premier events of the year, 2018 was certainly one for the history books. Heels Down Magazine cobbled together the highlights of the year, featuring show jumper Devin Ryan, eventer Jonelle Price, and dressage rider, Laura Graves, among plenty of other game changers. Don’t miss it. Download the December issue in iTunes or Google Play now.

In this issue, we celebrate the year of the woman with New Zealand 4* eventer, Jonelle Price. She was the first woman to win the Badminton Horse Trials in more than a decade. She did so this year on top of being a mom, a trainer, a wife, and the list goes on.

American show jumper Devin Ryan slept in a tent outside of a horse show for a chance to ride for George Morris. That work ethic has never left him, and it’s what fueled his tremendous but slow rise to the top of the sport.

Journalist Mollie Bailey followed her nose, which would lead her to break the biggest news story in the industry for the Chronicle of the Horse this year. Read how she did it in the December issue.

Laura Graves went from being a hairstylist to No. 1 in the world. The American dressage rider’s story is screaming to be turned into a movie. Read why 2018 was one of her best years yet.
