In the Magazine: Kent Farrington, Best In The World

Excerpt from the December 2017 issue of Heels Down Magazine.

On Christmas day, 1989, the Farrington family gathered around the tree to open presents. An expectant young Kent knew what he wanted, but the Breyer horse model that he got wasn’t it.

“I was so excited, playing with mine,” recalled his sister, Kim, but her disappointed older brother “handed his over to me, saying, ‘I can’t go to the Olympics on a plastic pony.'”

Even when he was in grade school, Kent was setting goals, a pattern that would make him the world’s number one-ranked show jumper 28 years later.
