My horse was finally ready to make the 515-mile trip from North Carolina to my new home in New Jersey after being cleared by the vet to go back into work. I was elated.  

But how would I get her here?

My excitement immediately turned to concern. Driving her myself wasn’t an option this time, but I’ve never had someone else ship my horse. I was also working with a modest budget. So how would I decide on a shipper that I could trust to keep my horse safe and healthy, and wouldn’t break the bank?
