Show Jumping News: Jérôme Guery is on Fire, Wins Again in Antwerp

Jérôme Guery is on fire! Hot off a Grand Prix win at the Longines Global Champions Tour in Miami Beach last weekend, Guery pulled off another win today in the CSI5* of Antwerp at Jumping Antwerpen. Guery’s win in Miami Beach was a huge milestone for his career and he is clearly carrying that momentum in his home country of Belgium.

Belgian spectators were thrilled to watch their own rider take the win, certainly receiving the exciting competition that they came for.

With 9-year old stallion, Icarus, Guery raced to the finish line to take the win in 30.25 seconds. Thierry Goffinet previously held the time to beat with Navarro UK, finishing in second place with a time of 30.78 seconds. Michael Whitaker and JB’s Hot Property completed the podium, taking the bronze with a time of 30.99 seconds.

If you follow the Heels Down Rewind series, you know that Jérôme Guery and French rider Simon Delestre have an adorable friendship and complete the team of the St Tropez pirates in the Global Champions League. However, Delestre was no match for Guery in this CSI5* and finished up in the fourth place position on Troika Denfer.

The competition at Jumping Antwerpen continues on and time will tell if Jérôme Guery can keep up his winning streak. Find all of the information on Jumping Antwerpen and the upcoming JumpingClash Challenge here.
