In the Magazine: Georgina Bloomberg on Animal Welfare

Excerpt from the October 2017 issue of Heels Down Magazine.

She’s an international show jumper, Pan American medalist, and owner of the Global Champions League team, Miami Glory. She’s the daughter of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. She’s a published author, a social figure, and a well-traveled and educated woman.

But none of that is how she defines herself. At her core, Georgina Bloomberg is nothing if not an animal lover.

While she used to shy away from her famous last name, these days she realizes that she is in a unique position to spur positive change for animals and speaks out on these issues every chance she gets.

“I got into this sport because of my love for animals,” she said. “That means so much to me.”
